Juneau Utilities, along with our power supplier, WPPI Energy, offers a Public Power scholarship for local high school students. The $1,000 scholarship is presented to a high school senior who plans to attend a two-year technical college or a four-year university.
Applicants are judged on a variety of criteria, including academic and extracurricular achievement, work and volunteer experience and future career goals.
Juneau Utilitiesí scholarship program is designed to provide educational opportunities for promising local students and to promote awareness of Juneauís community-owned utility. To be eligible to apply, students or their parents or guardians must be customers of Juneau Utilities. Dependents of utility personnel are not eligible.

The deadline for submitting applications is April 1. The scholarship recipient will be announced in May. The scholarship check will be awarded with proof of enrollment.
